Ocean, Atmosphere and Cryosphere Dynamics
A collection of London-based climate researchers
The Ocean, Atmosphere and Cryosphere Dynamics (OACD) group researches how the climate system works, and meets regularly in the Dept of Geography at University College London.
It is led by Chris and David (both academics in UCL Geography) for over a decade. It combines research techniques at the cutting edge of laboratory-based geoscience and computer modelling. It has worked on topics stretching from the equator to the poles, and from millions of years ago to the coming centuries. We have particular expertise on the deep circulation of the North Atlantic and on multi-model ensembles of past climate change.
